Team Europe won the Mosconi Cup at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, defeating Team USA 11-6 to secure their fifth consecutive title. This victory extended Europe's overall series lead to 17-13 in the 31st edition of the competition.
On Day One, Europe took a 3-2 lead through wins in team and doubles matches. Captain Jayson Shaw defeated Fedor Gorst in the opening team match. The European duo of Shaw and David Alcaide beat the American pair of Skyler Woodward and Billy Thorpe 5-2, while Eklent Kaçi and Francisco Sanchez Ruiz defeated Gorst and Shane Van Boening 5-2.
Team USA remained competitive through the middle days, with Fedor Gorst winning key matches. Europe extended their lead to 9-5 by Day Three, giving Team USA limited opportunities heading into the final day.
In the championship matches, Shaw defeated Woodward 5-0. Gorst defeated Mickey Krause in a match that went to the final frame. Woodward lost to Francisco Sanchez Ruiz 5-4 in the final match, clinching Europe's victory.
Shaw earned MVP honors for his tournament performance. Team USA's loss continued a recent trend at the Mosconi Cup despite strong individual performances from Gorst and other players. Europe will face Team USA again in 2025.
