Team Europe retained the Mosconi Cup with an 11-6 victory over Team USA at Alexandra Palace. After being tied 2-2 after day one, Europe secured their second consecutive title by winning the final day matches.
Team USA started strong behind Shane Van Boening and Jeremy Jones in the opening team match. Two-time MVP Skyler Woodward contributed to the early point. Europe struggled in doubles play, as Albin Ouschan and Eklent Kaçi lost 5-4 to Tyler Styer and Chris Reinhold, falling behind 2-0.
The European squad, captained by Alex Lely, mounted a comeback. Joshua Filler defeated Van Boening 5-2 in singles action, while David Alcaide and Jayson Shaw won 5-0 against Woodward and Jones to level the match. Shaw won tournament MVP honors and played a key role in Europe's comeback.
In the final matches, Shaw and Filler faced elimination in doubles against Van Boening and Woodward but recovered to stay alive. Woodward defeated Shaw 5-2 to keep USA hopes alive at 10-6. Filler won his final match against Van Boening to secure Europe's victory. Europe won their 14th Mosconi Cup title and achieved a 14-13 edge in overall series history.
