The 2019 Derby City Classic's Diamond BIG Foot Challenge saw Taiwan's Chang Jung-lin defeat Germany's Joshua Filler 11-9 in the final. The match took place at the Horseshoe Southern Indiana Casino, with Chang winning the top prize of $16,000.

The final matched experienced world-class play against emerging talent. Filler, 21 at the time, started strongly with aggressive play and built a 4-0 lead. The young German's early advantage suggested momentum was in his favor. However, Chang—the 2012 WPA World Eight-ball Champion and former world number one—adjusted his approach and began closing the gap.

The match shifted when Chang took a 7-5 lead in the second stretch, reversing the early advantage. From that point, both players traded games without either pulling decisively ahead. The score reached 9-9, making the final games critical for determining the winner.

Chang won the final games to secure an 11-9 victory. His performance throughout the tournament included a .922 Total Performance Average in the final, a .930 TPA in defeating Fedor Gorst in the semifinals, and a .933 against Shane Van Boening earlier in the bracket.

The victory added another prestigious title to Chang's resume that includes his 2012 world championship and 2013 World Games silver medal. Filler earned $8,000 as runner-up and gained experience facing top international competitors. The tournament featured competitive matches and high-stakes play throughout.
