The 2018 World Pool Masters saw Niels "The Terminator" Feijen claim his second Masters title at Gibraltar's Victoria Stadium. The Dutchman defeated Shane Van Boening 8-4 in the final. Feijen was competing after a six-month absence due to tendonitis that required arm surgery.
Feijen returned to competition at the 2018 World Pool Masters following his extended time away from the sport. The tournament featured 16 players, including 12 former champions. He defeated Raj Hundal 8-2 in the opening round and advanced past Dennis Orcollo in the quarterfinals.
In the final against Van Boening, Feijen led 7-2 and made four break-and-runs after losing the opening rack. He won 8-4 and earned the $20,000 winner's prize from the $80,000 total prize fund. Gibraltar's Minister for Sport, Culture, Heritage and Youth, Steven Linares, presented the trophy.
Van Boening reached the final by defeating Jayson Shaw 8-3 in the semifinals. Feijen advanced past Karl Boyes 8-3 in his semifinal. The tournament ran from March 2-4, 2018, and was the 25th edition of Matchroom Sport's premier invitational event.
Feijen's 2018 victory was his second World Pool Masters title, having previously won in 2013. The win marked his return to elite-level 9-ball pool competition following his injury absence.
