Niels "The Terminator" Feijen won the 2014 WPA World 9-Ball Championship after 15 years of professional competition. The Dutch veteran defeated Austria's Albin Ouschan 13-10 in the final held in Doha.

The tournament ran from June 16-27 at the Al-Arabi Sports Club and was the 23rd edition of the world championship. A field of 128 elite players competed for $184,000 in prize money. The event used a double-elimination format in preliminary rounds before moving to single-elimination knockout play. Defending champion Thorsten Hohmann was eliminated in the round of 64 by Marco Teutscher, opening the tournament to other contenders.

Feijen had previously finished as runner-up at the World 8-Ball Championships in both 2010 and 2011. The 37-year-old had won five European straight pool championships and the 2005 Big Apple Nine-Ball Championship title, but the world 9-ball crown had eluded him until this match.

In the final, Feijen faced 23-year-old Ouschan in his first world championship final. Feijen's greater experience helped him secure the victory.

The victory took place in Doha during its fifth consecutive year hosting the world 9-ball championship. Feijen received $30,000 as the tournament winner and claimed pool's most prestigious title.
