Team USA won the sixth Mosconi Cup in December 1999 at York Hall in London’s Bethnal Green, defeating Europe 12-7 in nine-ball competition.
The American roster included Johnny Archer from Georgia, Earl Strickland from North Carolina, Kim Davenport from Oklahoma, Jim Rempe from Pennsylvania, Jeremy Jones from Texas, and Michael Coltrain from North Carolina.
The European team featured Mika Immonen from Finland, Ralf Souquet from Germany, Alex Lely from the Netherlands, Oliver Ortmann from Germany, Steve Knight from Britain, and Steve Davis.
The tournament featured doubles and singles competition held over four days. American doubles teams included Archer-Davenport and Strickland-Rempe pairings.
The Mosconi Cup is named after legendary player Willie Mosconi. The competition follows the Ryder Cup format in golf, with international teams competing to determine supremacy in nine-ball.
